Refinancing your student loans is more than a financial transaction. It’s an investment in your future and it requires working with a company you trust¹. At Earnest, we believe in building relationships with our clients and thanking them for choosing to spread the word about their positive experiences with us. That’s why we offer a $200 student loan refinancing referral bonus when a current client refers a friend².

By inviting your friends to join us, not only will you be helping them make a smart financial decision, but you’ll also be rewarded for your support. Let’s explore the details of our referral bonus program and how you can benefit from it while spreading the word about Earnest’s commitment to helping students like you.

What is the Earnest referral bonus?

It’s a $200 bonus that both you and the person you refer will get once they sign their loan agreement. This bonus is for refinancing clients only, and we currently don’t offer it to our private student loans or personal loan clients.

Who’s eligible?

To refer someone to Earnest you must:

Your Earnest account must be in good standing, meaning you must have a history of paying your bill on time and in full.

If you’re being referred to Earnest you must:

How do I refer someone?

You can refer someone using a unique referral link located in your Earnest account. Here’s how it works:

Once you share your link, the person you refer will click on it to set up their Earnest profile and loan application. If they are approved and sign their loan agreement, both you and your referral will receive $200. Bonuses are generally paid out within 30 days of your referral signing their loan agreement.

What if you were referred after starting your application?

The good news is that you can still use the referral bonus, even if you started your application without a referral link, but only if you haven’t already signed your loan agreement. Once you sign the agreement, we can’t retroactively apply the bonus.

If you haven’t signed your loan agreement, here’s what you can do:

Be sure to use your unique referral link so we can track your referrals and ensure that you and your friends receive the referral bonus promptly.

Our way Of saying “thank you”
